There’s this nifty website, Wordle.net, which turns words into pictures.
Cool, right? A program eats my book and gives me pretty pictures. Wordle does more than pick a few words and make a picture; it takes the most frequently used words (excluding common words like: and, is, are…) in the text and makes a picture. Making wordles had become one of my favorite parts of writing. After weeks of poking at keys it’s nice to find something pretty at the of the writing tunnel.
Not only are the pictures pretty, but they give me an easy to digest representation of my work. Since I do 99% of my writing on my computer, it can be hard to get the same sense of accomplishment that comes from something physical and tangible. These help fill that void.
Alright, enough taking. Bring on the Wordles!
